Trailblazing with Lori: 38 Days and Counting!!
Candidate's Corner: This being the last weekend of indulgences before we swear off trans fats and couch-sitting in 2008, I hope to partake in a little of both given this evening’s historic game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants! All kinds of league records are within grasp including two from Tom Brady and Randy Moss who are just two touchdowns away from single season records. And speaking of two, we are just two dates away (February 5th and March 4th) from victory at the State House! Well you knew I was going to tie this into the campaign somehow, didn't you? Enjoy the game on just about every local channel and Go Pats! ~Lori
Trailblazing News: While much of the district enjoyed some downtime, the intrepid volunteers of Team Ehrlich have tended to everything from filling up the January calendar with events (a small sample below), ordering campaign supplies, setting up our impressive field campaign and opening the mail. Lori has been very busy keeping up with one of her grassroots pledges of responding to contributions with hand-written thank you notes, all while reaching out to many others. Please note: contributions can now be made securely online via the campaign website.
Grassroots Sprouts: Momentum is crucial going into the final stretch (as the Pats so well know). We will keep this newsletter short and sweet so that everyone has a chance to get into game mode tonight but we do want to provide you with an important date to hold: January 13th, 2008 we are planning a fundraiser at Sweeney’s Retreat, 18 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead from 4-6 p.m. We have a very special mystery guest and book signing you won’t want to miss!!
Say What? For the silent types, Lori Ehrlich (one word) will now be available in a bumper sticker and pin! Contact Shelley Sackett at 781.599.2725 or lawyermom@aol.com to reserve yours! Tip 1: If one of your New Year’s resolutions should find you on a treadmill next to one-ka-zillion other people with the same idea, you might consider donning your sweatshirt with a strategically placed Lori Ehrlich pin. And in between gasps for air, you can strike up a staccato conversation about what an auspicious New Year this is given we have the opportunity to vote for Lori Ehrlich (www.loriehrlich.com) for State Representative.

Bright idea: January 16th is your last chance to register to vote or change your party affiliation for the primary on February 5th. If this is something you’ve put off until now, get thee to your town and city clerk’s office!
Volunteer Central: We need all of our volunteers to make a New Year’s resolution to get 100% fired up for the home stretch to the election! On January 2nd/January 3rd we need envelope stuffers for our upcoming fund-raiser letter. So many have offered and this is your chance. Stuffing packets will be available for your convenience so please contact Shelley Sackett at lawyermom@aol.com to let her know you’ll take a stack. As always, please feel free to forward this newsletter on to a friend.
~Happy Healthy Peaceful New Year from the Trailblazing Team!!
