Lori Ehrlich for State Representative

Trailblazing with Lori: 52 Days and Counting!!

Candidate's Corner: Greetings friends, and welcome to this first edition of TRAILBLAZING WITH LORI -- a weekly newsletter I will be sending to keep everyone up to speed on the progress of our campaign. Before reporting on some key campaign accomplishments, I want to THANK THOSE OF YOU who have been volunteering out in the field, especially in light of often frigid temperatures and beckoning holiday preparations! Your time and effort are vital to the success of this campaign and much appreciated.

So what's to boast about? Well, we have collected well over 200 signatures that have been filed for certification. Our infrastructure is strong and has a broad base of volunteers. (This is the most important part!) We have a good start on promotional materials to help us get the message out. We're knocking on doors and getting to know people. We are finding that trailblazing this time of year needs tall boots and snow gear. And finally, and also very important to the campaign, we are starting to see significant contributions rolling in! Please read on for more news from our energetic team of field contributors!Regards, Lori

Trailblazing News:  The official campaign website www.loriehrlich.com just got its legs and looks great. Check out the banner at the top featuring beautiful photos of the district! Many thanks to the hard work of Marblehead business owners, Jane Bright from BrightWork, Inc., Steve Webster, Creative Director at www.tidbitz.com, and Dennis Curtin from Short Courses in Digital Photography. Turn to our team's dynamic and evolving website for the latest news on the campaign.

Grassroots Sprouts: LYNN: Bob Tucker reported about 50 people in attendance at the Dec. 5th Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach meeting where Lori had the opportunity to meet with a number of residents from the district.  MARBLEHEAD: Marcia Sweeney and a crew of volunteers have been setting up the campaign's GOTV (Get out the vote) structure, knocking on doors and helping to gather signatures. SWAMPSCOTT: Campaign Manager, Shelley Sackett announced the launching of the campaign's first major fundraising drive: 900 letters went out the door Dec. 11th thanks to the gallant efforts of volunteers who on short notice helped stuff and stamp envelopes.

Say What? We welcome questions and feedback from our grassroots volunteers regarding the campaign and would like to use this section to help you be the most effective volunteer possible given how little time we have left to the election! Here are two tips:

TIP 1: Shout Lori Ehrlich (as one word) from the rooftops as often as you possibly can!! Name recognition always plays a big role in elections and with two women running, we all know which name we want voters to recognize!!

TIP 2: If you happen to get stuck in an elevator with someone who wants to know more about Lori Ehrlich and you've only got between Floor 3 and Floor 5 to explain? Try: Lori Ehrlich is a seasoned CPA business owner and has state level experience as a policymaker. Lori Ehrlich has strong ties to all 3 communities, is a strong advocate for local residents, and has a proven record of taking on tough issues and winning. Lori Ehrlich's qualifications and experience make her an outstanding choice to be our next State Representative! Note: this is where you can direct people to www.loriehrlich.com, or ask if they'd like to go up to Floor 16 with you!!
