Trailblazing with Lori: 5 Days and Counting!!! (Action Edition)
Candidate's Corner: We’re in the hair-raising home-stretch and now is when we really need you—your vote and your body! This newsletter’s all action, so please read below and let us know if you can spare a couple hours in your precinct on voting day. We’ve got things for the warm fuzzy indoor types (poll checking, ID calls) and sign holding for the rugged outdoor types. Just two hours—that’s it. Thanks to everyone (and I mean everyone) who challenged, questioned, criticized, advised, and supported me, for now I stand that much readier to trailblaze forward to Beacon Hill. We’re almost there!!! Onward to Feb 5th ~Lori
Grassroots Sprouts and News:
~ THIS JUST IN!!!!! THE MARBLEHEAD REPORTER ENDORSES LORI EHRLICH FOR THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE!!!! Go Lori!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~ Making calls: 2 hours = 60 people. Elections have been lost or won by less… Still ranked the most important grassroots job of this campaign is that of making calls to I.D. voters. Our campaign has almost 2,000 votes ID’d and we should be proud! But we’re still not quite to our goal… Can you help us get there? Contact Ryan Adams (home: 781-599-6114, cell: 978.729.5927).
~Poll Checkers needed: This is a great INDOOR way to volunteer on Election Day all while enjoying the first-hand thrill of participating in the process. We’ll get you all ready for this. Lynn precincts are all set but we have some openings in Marblehead and Swampscott. Contact Marcia Sweeney marciasweeney@comcast.net
~ Lit droppers: We need help dropping off 700 door hangers/palm cards to targeted households the evening/night before Election Day. It’s so important we get these delivered. Email Ryan Adams (or call: 781-599-6114, cell: 978.729.5927)
~ SOLD OUT! Due to the exponential growth of the Lori Ehrlich grassroots campaign, we don’t have one lawn sign or “Dear Friend” card left…When the going gets tough, the tough innovate! We’ve come up with a postage free, tree-friendly alternative to send your way. Just drop us a line and we’ll get you an Dear d-Friend card, suitable for cutting and pasting.
~ Our Endorsement Ad is live! Thank you to EVERYONE who jumped in! http://swampscott.shopping.wickedlocal.com/ROP/ads.aspx?advid=737651
~ PARTY TIME!! No matter what the returns we all have so much to celebrate. Please stop by Sweeney Retreat, Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. after the polls close and we can all revel in a job well-done.
~ Last Tuesday’s Swampscott School Committee/BOS Forum gave candidates an opportunity to discuss policy and answer questions. The feedback was great. Lori was well-prepared and on top of all the issues. Our favorite quote: “Lori Rocked!!!! She killed with kindness. She awed with facts and figures.”
~ The sunrise is a beautiful thing to behold. Why not do it holding a Lori Ehrlich sign and a cup of coffee any time between 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (even if you can only spare 20 minutes)? Contact robertftucker@aol.com to find out our schedule and location.
~ As momentum builds, Lori has been featured in the news quite a bit! Go to News on the Lori Ehrlich website to see more.
~ Lynn is doing a two precinct literature drop; any volunteers should contact Bob Tucker at robertftucker@aol.com
~ Special thanks to those who had a chance to send a Letter to the Editor in support of Lori last week. ~ Ward 3 Councilor Darren Cyr of Lynn has endorsed Lori as well as the Mass League of Environmental Voters. ~ A great quote we’d like to share this week is from Former State Representative Larry Alexander (8th Essex), "With her experience and proven track record of getting results she will be the best representative to advocate for our district on Beacon Hill, and I am proud to support her." ~ Go Lori!
